Intellicess was founded in Austin, TX, to commercialize technology which was initially developed for nuclear submarines, at the University of Texas at Austin. That foundation in physics-based modeling and Bayesian analysis, built for environments where failure isn’t an option, is still what sets Intellicess apart today. Today, Intellicess provides two flagship solutions: Sentinel RT® and Liken®.
Sentinel RT® is Intellicess’s real-time drilling intelligence engine, incorporating multiple physics-infused AI Bayesian networks built and refined over more than ten years. It uses available real-time EDR and basic daily report data filtering out bad sensor data before it can mislead anyone and turns raw signals into beliefs about what is happening during drilling much like a good driller does with their own interpretation.
Sentinel RT® has been validated on more than 5,000 wells across land and offshore rigs. That depth of real-world drilling experience is why the technology catches what other tools miss, and it keeps getting sharper with every well drilled. The results show up where it counts. Operators using Sentinel RT have reported over $1M in annual savings per rig. Sentinel RT is running today on 50+ active rigs across 7 countries.
Liken® is Intellicess’s unified drilling intelligence platform, custom-built for operators and powered by Sentinel RT® engine and advanced physics-based models licensed from the University of Texas at Austin. It closes the gap between the data operators already collect, siloed physics-based simulation packages, and the understanding they need to make faster, smarter decisions in time to matter.
Everything Intellicess builds serves one long-term goal: autonomous drilling. Sentinel RT® and Liken™ are both enabler technologies on that path, not just endpoints in themselves, each closing a piece of the gap between today’s manual, expert-dependent decision-making and a rig that can sense, decide, and act on its own.
